a little bit about what's here

Welcome to my brains dump station. Please don't feel obligated to read it but if you are here it's because you expressed an interest in being here or I just happen to think you're rad and want to include you in our life. Feel free to comment so that I know if anyone is reading! Not that it would stop me from blogging if no one did read, it's just nice to know who is around every once in awhile! I'll try to hit spell check before I post but I make no guarantee's! It's my blog and therefore you will find that I don't censor myself very often, especially when it comes to swear words (I'm working on it). If you don't like what I have to say, feel free to not read. I'm okay with that.

I love being a work from home mom to my one and only child, G. He is a dream that I never thought would come true. It's my goal in my life to raise him to be thoughtful, witty, respectful, gentle, sincere, creative, determined, instinctive, charming, frank, truculent, faithful, reflective, happy, active, bright, ambitious, talented, productive, decisive, kind hearted, friendly, proud, sarcastic, calm, righteous, generous, protective, dynamic, silly, adaptable, brave, honorable, gregarious, funny, fearless, outgoing, magnanimous, confident, cultured, fair and just plain amazing. It's not too tall an order, it's my life's work.

Big Boy!

This is a great website except that it only goes up to 2 years old.  Believe me, he hasn't stopped growing just since he turned 2!

Here's where I kept track of his growth as well.  I'm putting these on here because I never wrote this stuff down in a baby book and so this blog is kind of like his baby book.

30 months (12/24/10) - 32.2 pounds, 39 inches tall!
*********************************************************************************
Well if I go off of this diagram G has all his teeth as of 01/01/11!  He got his teeth SO fast!  I remember when those first two lower central incisor's came in just before he turned 4 months old.  Always in such a hurry this little miracle of mine!

03/02/11 - 34.2 pounds & 40" tall!  He's in 4T and some 5T clothes!  Since he's so long in the torso his 4T shirts are turning into belly shirts, ha!

09/18/11 - 37.6 pounds & just a hair under 42" tall.  I knew he had to have gained some weight because when he jumps up into my arms I almost collapse!  He's big, beautiful and healthy as a horse.  :)

10/14/11 - At G's 3 year check-up (yeah, I'm running a little behind) today they measured him at 41 5/8" tall and 38 pounds.  I can tell he's hitting another growth spurt because his pants are starting to look short and he's been sleeping a lot more than before.

05/10/12 - I just realized it's been awhile since I weighed or measured G so I did both this morning. He is 43.9" tall and weighs 42.6 pounds. Too bad when he falls asleep somewhere and I have to lift him to put him in his bed he feels like he weighs about 200 pounds.

06/19/13 - I really suck at this keeping track thing don't I?  Since G will be 5 years old in 5 days I thought, "I should see how his growth is."  Yeah, he's still a big kid.  He weighed in at 51.8 pounds just now and was spot on 48" tall.  I used this link for a growth chart and it caculates as such:
At 5 years:
your child is 51.8 pounds, and that is
at the 95th percentile for weight.

your child is 48 inches, and that is
at greater than the 97th percentile for height.

He's wearing 7 & 8 in tops (because he's so long in the torso I even buy him some 10's and then have to hem in the sides so they're not so boxy on him.  He's not fat or even chubby (though he does like to point out that he's got a gut like daddy's), he's just solid boy.  Love my healthy child!
